About Me

I am a married, young mother of almost three - 30 weeks pregnant with boy number two. My husband, Curtis and I have been married for almost five years and for me it has been a blast. Full of making lasting memories, overcoming struggles and challenges, and lots and lots of love.
Our first and only daughter Peyton forever changed our lives. She taught me love, patience, motherhood, true divinity. When she was just shy of two months old, she passed on across the veil to be with our Heavenly Father. Her life her was short but, her impact has been eternal.
Matthew, our second is now two! Time sure has flown with him. Curtis left for a year overseas after he was born but, made it home for his first birthday. Although that year was extremely challenging I developed a love and knowledge in parenting, messes, family, did I mention BIG messes?? lol. Matthew sure has a personality of his own. He makes me smile, laugh, cry, sometimes rip my hair our but, he truly is a remarkable blessing in my life.

I have decided to create this small blog primarily for myself. If you are anything like me, you can sit on pintrest and have your mouth water as your eyes relish those delicious recipes and images. However, you don't always get around to trying those recipes. Well, I have started to change that. Although there is absolutely no way I can try every recipe I pin, I have been trying some. Some are complete losses while others have become family favorites. This is where I want to keep track of some of my tried and true, preferably almost effortless meals that are suitable for the whole family.
I have also created this to be able to share some of my recipes of success and of course failures as a mother, wife, woman. We all have our good and our bad days. I think we can all agree upon that. Honestly, I think the best part about a mommy blog is that often the stories shared are so relatable. I hope that maybe, someday, my stories can be read by other ladies who relate to my experiences, who want to comment and share their experiences, and develop a wonderful way to relish womanhood and motherhood.
